Join the Sun Foundation’s volunteer program to help the Sun Foundation’s bright ideas for children and education continue to shine! We need members of our community to give their talents and time to serve on the Sun Foundation board of directors, be active members of program committees, help at fundraising events, facility maintenance, assist with teaching, and provide medical care for students. These amazing people and groups are essential to the work of the organization. We need volunteers for 2012 Sun Programs!
Art’s & Science in the Woods Volunteer Program 2012
Last year over 100 volunteers served as teaching assistants, medical staff, administrative assistants and other . We hope to do it again!
Who do we need?
People who have experience with:
- Administrative Assistance
- Graphic Design
Or simply, students or individuals who support the Sun Foundation’s efforts and would like to contribute by offering their abilities/services. You can also take advantage of volunteer logging opportunities.
If you have a skill that you would like to utilize, we would love to make it happen!
If you would like to volunteer but are unavailable for these dates, join our volunteer list! A number of additional TBA volunteer opportunities will open up for different programs throughout the year at which point the volunteers on file will be contacted for availability.
Art and Science in the Woods
June 1-9, 2013
Team of people able to work on preparation of Blue Heron Farm for ASIW from 9am-3pm each day.
- Classroom preparation
- Organization and distribution of supplies
- Trail clearing
- Class site clean-up
- Storage of supplies
Log volunteer hours with the Sun Foundation and we will supply documentation for the work that was given. Individuals who need to fulfill community service hours are more than welcome to do that with us.
