Spring Awakening Children's Benefit

Help support our children’s programming while enjoying a beautiful meal, delicious beverages, and fantastic company.

The Sun Foundation invites you to join in our first Spring Awakening fundraising event! This event is in place of the Winter Warming Children’s Benefit that was postponed in January.

The 2022 Spring Awakening event took place on April 23, 2022 at Trailside Event Center in Peoria Heights. From 6:00 to 9:30 p.m., the Sun Foundation invites you to join us in celebrating spring with a decadent selection of food by a A Matter of Taste and a wine and beer tasting sponsored by Hy-Vee of Sheridan. A silent auction will take place throughout the night with pieces of artwork, baskets with goodies, and other fantastic items all available for bid. Shirts will be screen-printed during the event with artwork from artists within the Sun Foundation Family and will be available for purchase.

Proceeds benefit programs such as Art and Science in the Woods Summer Camp, Clean Water Celebration Environmental Classroom, and the Community Art Access Grants program.
