Experience bird capture, banding and release

Join Biology professor and bird bander Dr. Travis Wilcoxen for a bird banding session, where birds will be safely captured in mist nets, and marked with a band for ongoing research. Guests will learn about the data collected and the natural history of each bird we capture and release. While waiting for captures, Dr. Wilcoxen will also lead walks around the site to help guests learn bird sight and sound identification skills. Guests are encouraged to bring binoculars and cameras!
